DREAM CULTIVATION YOUTH
TRAINING INSTITUTE
Dream Cultivation started out as a youth development-mentoring program
in the Ida B. Wells Project on the south side of Chicago with the idea of teaching young African American males and females that they can Dream outside the walls of the hood and learn life skill-sets while cultivating their God-given talents and abilities to become contributing productive citizens. It matriculated into my nonprofit graduate degree class project that I developed an agency that is preparing young people and young adults through innovative full service programs. We provide services as consultants, workshops and through lecturing. In addition,we can train practitioners, educators, youth leaders, social workers, juvenile advocates, interdisciplinary, policy makers, institutional leaders, etc through best practices, 40 years of direct services experience and empirical observation on how to effectively work and engage with urban youth and young adults.
Langston Hughes
What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up Like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore--And then run? Does it stink like rotten meat?Or crust and sugar over--like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sagslike a heavy load.. Or does it explode?
Joseph dreamed a dream Gensis 37;5
